The Federal Government should already be explaining what the idea of the headline above is by now. Both those who support APC and those who don’t deserve an explanation. Why does Nigeria need to get this humongous amount in loan? What is the repayment plan? What particular sector will it be positively affecting so that people can verify the results, there must be specifics?
The spokespeople of the government should start getting on media shows, sending out press statements, and answering these questions and more? It is important that Nigerians are not seen as pushovers. Nigerians are set on edge by the news, it should be clear to the government.
Loan for a national economy may not be out of place, but the citizens should have an insight into how the loan will impact their lives and livelihood.
