The Ogun State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty of its 38th Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, following his deployment by the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu.

Ojajuni, a native of Ondo State, brings nearly three decades of policing experience spanning operations, investigations, and international law enforcement collaboration.
He previously served as Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL (Nigeria National Central Bureau), Lagos, where he led efforts against transnational crime and coordinated high-profile extraditions.

His career includes key roles such as Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ogun, Area Commander of Area “A” Command, Lagos, and Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State Command. He also held multiple Mobile Police Force squadron commands across the country, strengthening tactical policing operations.

Ojajuni’s international exposure includes participation in INTERPOL programmes and global security engagements across the United States, Singapore, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. In 2025, he was elected into the INTERPOL African Committee, reinforcing Nigeria’s voice in global policing.
His appointment is seen as a strategic boost to security architecture in Ogun State, with expectations of enhanced professionalism, community policing, and intelligence-driven operations.
